Job Description

Alfa Staff are looking for a permanent CNC Miller Programmer / Operator to join an expanding engineering company. The start date is expected to be February / March 2024.Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm: Friday 7.30am to 11.30amAs a CNC Miller Programmer / Operator, your responsibilities will vary from programming, setting, and operating a CNC Milling machine to reading and understanding engineering technical drawings. Knowledge of Fanuc control systems is ESSENTIAL for this roleas is the ability to work to close tolerances.Main responsibilities:

To be conversant with programming, setting and operating CNC Milling machine.
The ability to produce precision components from a variety of engineering materials.
To produce components within a cost-effective timeframe
The ability to read and understand engineering technical drawings.
Conversant with all necessary measuring equipment
Ability to work to close tolerances, bearing tolerance limits.
Able to work under own initiative and capable of working with limited supervision.

Self-inspection

Can communicate with people at all levels and work pro-actively as part of a team.
Take part in any training provided.

Position Remuneration

Hourly Rate: Up to £16.50 per hour
Mon-Thu 7:30am-4pm Fri 7:30am-11:30am
