To commence in September, the hours will be a minimum of MondayWednesday, 8.45am15.45pm. The role is open to thosewho have experience of working with individuals with Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD) as well as mental health and additional learning needs.The school:Reed Education are proud to be working with this aspirational special school for pupils with additional learning needs arising from Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD). The school caters for primary aged pupils, who have a statement ofSpecial Educational Needs (SEN). Many of the pupils who attend have additional barriers to learning including ADHD, ASD, ODD and mental health difficulties. The staff-pupil ratio is high with at least 1 teacher and 2 teaching assistants in each class. Thecurriculum that is provided for pupils is personalised with a strong emphasis on wellbeing of pupils.Job description:The role is to assist teachers and encourage childrens confidence, self-esteem, and independence. You may be expected to liaise with other professionals, such as social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologistsand manage challenging behaviour. You will support individuals in small groups within the classroom, on a 1:1 basis, preparing their learning resources and supporting their schoolwork under the supervision of the teacher.What we need from you: Experience in working with individuals with, EMH, SEBD, ADHD, etc. Provide feedback and assistance to the teachers.
