Job Description

Warehouse Shift Manager Wavertree, Liverpool £28,000 - £32,000 4 on 4 off, 7pm – 7am I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join a family run business who specialise within the General Haulage and 3PL sector.They are seeking an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to support the current Site Manager in the management of a fast paced repacking and 3PL warehouse operation.The candidate;

  • Warehouse shift management experience within a 3PL / 4PL operation
  • Experienced within managing warehouse teams of circa 100 + staff
  • 3PL, pallet building or repack warehouse experience (desirable)
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong people manager
  • Competent decision making
  • Flexibility within the role and able to cover a variety of areas within the Warehouse
  • Ability to efficiently lead a team, delegate, supervise functions and keep staff motivated
  • Demonstrate drive and the desire to progress
  • Good written and oral communication skills
    • Duties and Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and supervising the activities and the functions of the warehouse staff
  • To assist in the organisation of training and development for warehouse staff, including on-the-job coaching
  • To assist the Warehouse Manager in the day to day running of the operation
  • To keep and maintain records of team performance against plans
  • To offer regular feedback, formal and informal, on team and individual performance
  • To assist the Site Manager in controlling levels of planned and unplanned absence and take appropriate action to ensure cover
  • To participate as an active member of the management team, and to offer suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency, customer and quality focus and team working
  • To communicate plans with the operations teams
  • To ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety policy
  • To keep and maintain records of team KPIs and performance
  • To assist in the organisation of training and development for warehouse staff, including on-the-job coaching
  • To review and seek any opportunities for improving work methods within production and warehouse Give regular feedback on team and individual performance
