Some aspects of the role can be undertaken remotely, though successful candidatewill need to be able to work from the client offices in Liverpool.The candidate must hold UK Security Clearance to SC level.S&I has a major account supporting and advising the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). The DBS remit is to assist employers to make safer recruitment decisions. DBS process and issue DBS checks for England, Wales, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. DBSmaintains the adults and childrens Barred Lists and makes considered decisions as to whether an individual should be included on one or both of these lists and barred from engaging in regulated activity.The successful candidate will join the existing service delivery team, working as part of the dedicated Barring Level 3 support team.In order to be successful within this role, you will need to have demonstrable experience in an Oracle support environment, being a pro-active person with software support and development skills.You should have a track record of independently solving difficult technical issues and defects, whilst assisting with DevOPs tasks such as the maintenance of builds. Giving input on architectural decisions for features and investigating and resolving issueswith legacy code and practices. Mentor junior members and teaching best practice through sharing new knowledge and improvements with other teams.
