Job Description

Prospero Teaching is looking for a resilient and experienced SEN Teacher proficient in Key Stage 2-4 support. The learning provision is based in Liverpool.The school is for students in Key Stages 2-4 who have Special Educational Needs. It also offers places for children with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP), some students also have PMLD, and the right candidate will be comfortable with personal care.The position is open to all experienced Teachers/Teaching Assistants/Support Workers, as well as those with a youth work background or have either Mentored or Coached. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offeringa permanent position.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Position start date - 15th January 2024
  • Duration / Likely Duration - July 2024
  • Contract or position end date (if applicable) - Ongoing
  • Contract type (perm/temp to perm) - Temporary - Permanent
  • Full time/part time - Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay - minimum of £140 per day
  • Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in a similar setting
  • LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable.
  • GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
  • Team Teach Trained (preferable)
  • Personal care (preferable)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years.
