Job Description

Reward and Benefits ManagerPermanent - 35 hours per weekFull Time Liverpool - ad hoc travel required to HO - once or twice per monthSalary between £54,000 - £58,000 plus highly competitive benefits packageMedlock Partners have partnered with a large nationwide not-for-profit organisation to help them appoint an experienced and highly knowledgeable Rewards and Benefits Manager.Reporting directly into the Head of HR Service Delivery you will be responsible for providing expert advice, managing, and maintaining all of the operational reward and benefits activities and leading strategic initiatives to develop a reward and benefits packagethat enables my client to attract and retain the best talent.Key responsibilities of the Reward and Benefits Manager:
  • Manage the reward and benefits function, including the full reward proposition, open pensions, benefits offering, working collaboratively within HR and with a wide range of senior stakeholders to ensure consistent sharing of knowledge, implementation andadherence to policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement the Reward and Benefits strategy, provide expert advice, guidance, strategic and practical direction to colleagues and managers.
  • Manage contracts with external suppliers liaising with Procurement as required.
  • Support the Director of HR in the pay review cycle through information gathering and modelling, participating in trade union consultation meetings and drafting communications.
  • Lead specific reward initiatives i.e. redesign of pay structures, from design to implementation, ensuring cross functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement and a robust plan to ensure a successful implementation.
  • Support and coach a Rewards Advisor.
  • Working with the Reward Advisor, support the HR Delivery Team in the timely management of cyclical activities, including pay review, Real Living Wage and pensions enrolment.
  • Support the Director of HR with Governance and Remuneration activity in the production of reports and benchmarking activity and Director level salary recommendations.
  • Liaise with external remuneration advisors as and when required to assist with decision making.
Key requirements for the Reward and Benefits Manager:
  • You will be a seasoned HR professional with significant experience working within rewards, benefits and pensions.
  • Ideally you will level 7 CIPD qualified.
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to understand complex data and provide meaningful insights, management information and recommendations.
  • Experience in pay modelling and supporting pay negotiations working collaboratively with trade unions.
  • Experience of supplier management and the delivery and ensuring value for money of reward solutions through third parties
  • Experience of managing significant budgets
  • You will have excellent stakeholder management experience.
  • You will be a tenacious and personable individual with the confidence to push back’ when needed.
