A recently established polymer technology company are recruiting for 3 R&D Polymer Scientists for their UK Technical Centre based in Liverpool. The company are a newly formed spin-out company from the University of Liverpool exploiting novel processes to prepare a new class of high-performing polymers. As an R&D Polymer Scientist, you will be responsible for carrying out various R&D programmes focussed on the development and application of novel polymer systems in a range of application areas including coatings, composites and personal care products.To be considered for this R&D Polymer Scientist position, you will be degree educated in Chemistry (BSc/MSc/MChem/PhD) ideally with further academics or projects based around polymer chemistry, materials science or coatings chemistry. Previous experience of carrying out polymer synthesis, polymerisations (free radical additional polymerisation preferred) and polymer characterisations is also required. Someone with a background in carrying out a range of polymerisation techniques, as well as use of analytical techniques such as GPC, NMR, FTIR and thermal polymer analysis would be highly desirable.This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting company to help progress a piece of technology from laboratory to commerciality, playing a key role in the establishment of a new polymer company.Key Responsibilities
