Job Description

This is a technical role focused on supporting the Site Manufacturing Strategy to meet the business goals. The role will be broadly split into two main areas:1. Ongoing support of key process improvement initiatives.2. Execution of plant modifications and engineering projects to meet strategic business performance targets.Requirements:Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assume responsibility for the performance of key plant unit operations with a focus on continuous improvement:

  • Provide day-to-day support to manufacturing operation
  • Monitor plant performance
  • Identify and implement process-related improvements
  • Responsible for end-to-end process change procedures, handling a wide range of project – from process control software modifications to minor capital projects or participation on larger capital projects.
  • Troubleshooting of complex equipment related issues and development of engineering solutions to address identified problems.
  • Commissioning of new processes/equipment
Qualifications:
  • A degree in an engineering discipline is essential, preferably chemical or mechanical engineering.
  • Proven hands on process engineering experience.
  • Strong communications skills with customers and management
  • Action oriented skills, ability to learn on the fly
  • Good problem solving, technical learning, time management and prioritising skills
  • Ability to work as part of team
  • Ability to think independently
  • Knowledge of environmental, health and safety legislation is desired
  • Field experience including troubleshooting, start-up and commissioning of equipment is desired
