Paralegal (Asbestos)£18,000 - £23,000LiverpoolA leading law firm is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Paralegal to join their Asbestos Team based in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal environment and support fee earners in the efficient management of asbestos-relatedcases.Key Responsibilities:• Assist in drafting legal documents, client liaison, research work, and general correspondence.• Review and manage medical and financial records, collaborating with professionals and solicitors.• Ensure urgent matters are appropriately addressed in the absence of supervising fee-earners.File/Case Management:• Attend court when required, taking accurate notes at meetings and preparing file notes.• Prepare court documents, organize bundles, and maintain up-to-date filing systems.• Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.Client Relations:• Communicate effectively with clients, internal and external stakeholders.• Handle financial transactions, including cheque requisitions and efficient processing.Training and Development:• Stay updated through in-house seminars, research, and relevant courses.• Ensure proficiency in using various IT packages.Person Specification:• Genuine interest in working with a leading claimant law firm.• Demonstrable paralegal experience in drafting legal documents and managing medical/financial records.• Good academic background with legal qualifications (Degree, GDL, LPC, etc.).• Proven ability in using IT packages such as MS Word, Excel, Case Management Systems, and Outlook.• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.• Organizational skills to manage a complex workload and meet tight deadlines.• Team player with the ability to work independently.• Demonstrable ability to be self-sufficient in administration, typing, and IT requirements.Desirable:• Relevant paralegal experience in claimant Asbestos/Industrial Disease.• Experience in preparing CFA documents, statements, benefits applications, and requesting National Insurance histories.If you are a dedicated and passionate individual with the required skills and experience, we invite you to apply for this challenging yet rewarding position.
