Job Description

We are welcoming applications for a Lecturer in Health & Social Care (Clinical Based) The City of Liverpool College is the only general FE college in the city and the largest FE college in Liverpool City Region.It offers the widest, most diverse vocational curriculum in the region and ranges from entry up to degree and post-graduate levels and currently serves more than a third of all the 16-18 year olds in Liverpool and educates almost 12,000 learners each year,with all courses being delivered to the highest standard of learning.Staff at The City of Liverpool College are fundamental to help ensure the students at the college enjoy an experience like no other through gaining skills and being taught a diversity-rich curriculum which leaves students equipped with all they need to besuccessful, both in their chosen career and beyond.To ensure that the colleges high standards of teaching, learning and assessment are ensured, we are looking for high quality applicant for the following role:Lecturer in Health & Social Care (Clinical Based) Full TimePermanent£32,319 - £40,077The RoleAn exciting opportunity for a professional, creative, and committed Health and Social Care tutor has arisen in one of the country’s largest Colleges. This is an opportunity for a dedicated educator to make their mark in an exciting and forward-thinking FEcollege, and to prove themselves as a dedicated and reliable Teacher. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver outstanding lessons to L1, L2 and L3 students who are studying Health and Social Care qualifications.You will create effective and stimulating opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment that enables progression and development for all learners. You will have experience/ knowledge of assisting an adult nursing teamwith clinical skills. These skills must include a range of clinical skills to promote and support wellbeing in relation to mental health, nutrition and hydration and conditions of skins, hair, nails and healthy bowel and bladder functions. You will have knowledgeand experience of supporting individuals with a range of activities for daily living. Such as PEG feeding, personal hygiene and maintaining continence. You will have understanding of different conditions and how this can impact daily living. You will be ableto assist with skin integrity assessments and with the care and treatment of skin conditions.
