A well-established personal injury firm is seeking a costs draftsman to join their in house costs team. This team of four are part of a dedicated costs function who work entirely for the firm and have been together for a number of years. They are currentlylooking to recruit as they have such high levels of work it is clear they can sustain another costs draftsman in the team on a permanent basis. This role will see you manage your own workload with minimum supervision but help and a team on hand should you need anything or want to bounce ideas around. The role involves a full range of drafting (Precedent S, N260s, cost budgets, etc) as well as negotiationof cost settlements, setting out the progression of cases and enforcement when necessary. Here you can expect to be home based, with team get together in the office once or twice a month.The successful candidate will be- Knowledgeable in relation to the CPR, s 70 of the Solicitor Act 1974 and case law.- Experienced in some debt recovery/enforcement.- Well organised and have good attention to detail.- Confident and willing to learn.- Experienced in the use of Cost Master and generally IT literate.This is a great opportunity to join an established team with Cost MASTER on hand to help you day to day, with the security of working in a a highly-regarded firm.
