Job Description

IT Support Technician - 2nd Line, Media Company Full time - On site, hybrid by negotiation - Liverpool, Merseyside. £30,000 - 35,000 + Flexitime, Free Parking & more benefits Applause IT are looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to join an award-winning media studio based in Liverpool, ideal for anyone located in Liverpool and surrounds inc. Warrington, Birkenhead & Wirral etc.You will have the opportunity to join a talented team who work across the UK and Europe, developing experiences using the latest technology for some of the worlds largest brands, platforms and publishers.As the IT Support Technician, you will play a vital role in overseeing the whole of the businesses IT needs. You will be the first point of contact for IT Support within the organisation; providing on-site and remote support for all users. Alongside beingthe go-to support for the existing teams day-to-day IT needs, you will be given the opportunity to create and implement your own IT architecture for the business and any passion for the creative or digital industry is a bonus for them.The successful IT Support Technician will have the following experience & attributes:

  • Circa 3 years of experience in an IT support or IT Technician role at 2nd
  • Good knowledge of up to date Windows and Mac operating systems, Dell PC and Mac hardware components, peripherals, alongside troubleshooting Mobiles and Tablets (Android and iOS. Some AV support preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently using your own initiative and needing minimal supervision.
  • Managing and prioritising support tickets whilst applying a security first approach - experience in Bitdefender and Windows Defender or similar.
  • Managing and testing of data backups / disaster recovery - they use Dropbox, Acronis, AWS and On-site Windows Server Storage.
  • Supporting and maintaining an organisations network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, routers, CCTV and wireless network equipment - any Ubiquiti and/or Bitdefender ideal.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, effectively working in a team environment, maintaining a high level of internal customer service.
