This role encompasses various areas, including support for systems and projectsResponsibilities: * Deliver advanced-level support for the infrastructure environment.* Collaborate on the formulation and implementation of IT standards, collaborating across teams for global deployment. * Provide guidance and aid to IT peers while also serving as an escalation point.* Enhance the collective knowledge base and documentation for IT services through ongoing teamwork.* Spearhead significant projects concerning IT infrastructure.* Offer assistance to business system teams in verifying the IT platforms alignment with business needs.The ideal candidate for this role possesses/has:* Proficiency in Windows Server tasks, encompassing image creation, backup management, and server setup.* Craft MDT images for desktop operating systems.* Profound expertise in devising, overseeing, and deploying LAN/WAN/WLAN solutions.* Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy VPN.* Robust adeptness in troubleshooting within the mentioned domains and a track record of engaging suppliers as needed.* Sound comprehension of project management approaches, including experience in leading initiatives for substantial site/infrastructure enhancements.* Proficiency with monitoring tools like SolarWinds and PRTG.* Exceptional communication skills for interactions with internal clients, IT peers, suppliers, and collaborators.Preferred qualifications encompass experience or exposure to some of these domains:* Supporting and implementing Cisco network apparatus.* Acquaintance with CrowdStrike Endpoint and Identity Protect.* Familiarity with VMWare ESXi, Veeam.* Knowledge of managing SQL servers, including some database administration skills.* Aptitude in deploying applications, including MDT.* Proficiency with MDM software like Intune and Windows Autopilot.* Experience in collaborating with VOIP systems.For further information about this role or other IT Opportunities in the North-West, please contact me for a confidential discussion on or call me on +Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
