Due to expansion the opportunity has arisen for a permanent Import Operations Coordinator to join this established, global business and friendly Ocean Freight Imports team. With an international focus, this is a rewarding position that will make use of yourextensive Import skills, offering fantastic support, job variety and a great working atmosphere.Key duties will include:Being the first point of contact for customers for Import Ocean Freight bookings.Manage LCL and FCL container bookings, keeping customers updated at all times. Ensuring the correct shipment procedures are accurately carried out together with the production of all necessary documentation and associated data management. Arranging Import deliveries and shipment releases.Preparing customs declarations and sending.Organising transport / hauliers from Port to destination.Dealing professionally, effectively and timely with all customer queries ensuring problem solving and issue resolution to the customer’s satisfaction.To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to display first class customer service skills, good communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail driving an excellence in Import Ocean Freight operations. With a proactive approachand the ability to work on your own initiative, candidates must have experience working within the shipping or freight forwarding industries along with good knowledge of MS Office.This is a great role for an established company where you will enjoy going to work each day.
