Historically providing clients with commercial/business partnering advice, funding applicationsupport the business has branched into providing bookkeeping services to its clients and this is a new role, created to head this area of the business. Joining a friendly and supportive team, reporting directly to the MD and with your remit including: * Working alongside 2 other Finance Managers (responsible for other business areas (Funding and Commercial Business Partnering).* Managing, developing and supporting a small finance team - currently 1 in the practice division but with plans to increase headcount.* Working to secure bookkeeping contracts with existing clients as well as new clients.* Leading from the front, managing your own client portfolio.* Advising Clients on System and Process Improvements and assisting with the implementation of new finance systems (mainly Xero).* Client Bookkeeping.* Bank reconciliations.* Till system, credit card & petty cash reconciliations.* Purchases payments, following an authorisation process, supplier liaison.* Raising sales invoices, monitoring debtor levels, credit control action.* Overseeing Payroll.* Budget-setting.* Financial forecasting.* Cash Flow Forecasting.* Balance Sheet reconciliations and reporting.* Self-Assessment Tax Returns.* VAT Returns.* Corporation Tax Returns.* Creative Industries Tax Relief Claims.* Gift Aid Claims.* Independent Examination of Accounts.* Year End Accounts Preparation and Filing. Applicants will be fully qualified, practice-trained Accountants (ACCA or ACA) and could either be working in practice and looking for their first move into industry or someone who has already made the step. You will have previous supervisory experience, excellentcommunication skills, and the gravitas, professionalism and character to forge strong business partner relationships across a broad range of customers/business.
