Job Description

Hardware Repair TechnicianHourly Rate: £11.44 per hourHours of Work: Mon-Fri 09.00-17.00, paid breaks.Length of Contract: Temporary to PermanentLocation: Speke, LiverpoolStart Date: ASAPPertemps are recruiting for an experienced Hardware Repair Technician to work for a well-established client based in Speke, Liverpool.Main duties:

  • Disassembling and reassembling hardware components such as handheld terminals.
  • Repairing or replacing defective parts such as motherboards, CPUs, RAM modules, hard drives, power supplies, etc.
  • Utilising specialised tools and software to diagnose hardware malfunctions accurately.
  • Soldering or desoldering components when necessary.
  • Testing repaired devices thoroughly to verify proper functionality and performance.
  • Maintaining detailed records of repairs, including parts used and procedures performed.
Key attributes required:
  • Strong understanding of hardware components, peripherals, and electronic devices.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of hardware issues efficiently and accurately.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and repair techniques.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness in finding solutions to hardware issues.
  • Thoroughness in diagnosing problems and performing repairs with precision.
  • Good communication skills-verbal and written.
