Job Description

The Role of General Manager will manage a team of managers, supervisors, bar staff, security andcleaners to drive both standards and sales, you will report to the OperationsManager & COO. Ultimately you will take full accountability and ownershipofthe financial and experiential results of the venue..This person needs to be a proven high volumebars/general manager looking for an exciting challenge within this fast pacedand constantly evolving business.

  • Reporting to the Operations Manager you willbe responsible for:
  • Working within the company budgets relating tolabour, consumables & wet products, to provide the standard of servicerequired
  • Delivering a positive & memorableexperience to every guest
  • Liaising with food traders dealing with operational concerns and deliveringexcellence
  • Work with the BM to control all stocks withinthe premises
  • Develop all aspects of incremental sales andmarketing within the premises, implementing new initiatives to meet and exceedtargets.
  • Maintain and oversee all HR practices for newand existing employees
  • Be accountable for all controllableexpenditure including venue payroll
  • Oversee contracts for cleaning, security &waste management to ensure highest level of service and value
  • Managing a team whilstdriving engagement and personal development with regular one to ones and acoaching style of leadership
  • Leading the site managementteam to execute safe and profitable large-scale event days
  • Liaison with local authorities, stakeholders and councils tomaintain a strong working relationship
  • Guest experience, complainthandling, incident management and reporting
  • Oversee & implement allhealth & safety audits, training, fire safety management and ESMP’s inline with legal requirements
  • Become the DesignatedPremises Supervisor for the site
The Ideal Candidate for this role
  • A proven track record inmanaging a high volume, large turnover venue be it bar/club/restaurant orretail
  • Confident, articulate andhighly-motivated
  • Well-trained with a goodunderstanding of H&S and due diligence
  • Honest, reliable andhard-working
  • A high level of personalintegrity
  • Passionate and proactive
  • Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills
  • Strong people coachingskills
  • Able to build strongworking relationships with team members and traders
  • An understanding of eventproduction and marketing
  • Organised with highattention to detail
  • Hold a personal licence
  • Have an in depth knowledgeof multiple pertinent software systems
