Job Description

Adele Carr is supporting the recruitment requirements of a well established, not-for-profit organisation in Liverpool who provide a number of unique, tailored services to the community.The successful new appointment will join the team as the Finance Manager on a full time, permanent basis.Supporting the Finance Director, you will take ownership of all financial related tasks whilst providing direction to the team.The ideal applicant will be practice trained, preferably ACCA / ACA qualified, (QBE will be considered), with a proven background completing statutory reports for a number of revenue streams.Supporting the senior management team, you will take a keen hand in producing accurate financial reports.You will be methodical, conscientious and diligent financial accountant who posses proven leadership skills.The ideal applicant will be a highly competent, ambitious individual with an in-depth understanding of financial reporting, tax and audit.Responsibilities and tasks include;

  • To lead team including providing regular training and support
  • Be accountable for all monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance, treasury reporting and liaising with third parties / auditors / HMRC / bank
  • Liaise with external auditor and co-ordinate preparation of year-end statutory accounts
  • Manage key controls and/or participate the improvement of internal controls for financial reporting
  • Daily oversight of cash flow forecast
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
    • The ideal candidate will be;
  • Practice trained and possessing ACCA/ACA qualification or equivalent
  • Familiar with Financial accounting processes across a growing organisation
  • Confident in their ability to work with key stakeholders and present accurate, accounts to non finance stakeholders
