Job Description

Adele Carr Recruitment is exclusively partnering a well known, successful, SME organisation in Liverpool who are keen to appoint a new Finance Manager on a full time, permanent basis.Due to company growth, the Finance Director is seeking the skills and experiences of a qualified, number two who can pick up the slack and support him and the team with financial reporting.The successful new appointment will take control of the finance function for this 30M t/o business. You will be required to work autonomously whilst building the team around you. Overseeing the general ledger and banking transactions, you will maintain andwhere necessary improve controls and financial reporting.This is a pivotal role within the senior leadership team and you will be the go-to person in finance, supporting several stakeholders across the business. (Applicants who are fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent will be considered). Experienceof managing people across multiple sites would be of benefit.Please apply if you offer proven leadership experience, knowledge of working within SME / manufacturing, dealing with stock, costings.The Finance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Finance Director and board with MI packs detailing company performance and financial insight
  • Heading up the accounts function and ensuring all processes and procedures are robust and fit for purpose
  • Manage, coach, lead finance team of 5
  • Ensuring month end management accounts and reports are accurately produced including Balance sheet
  • Support HR with monthly payroll calculations
  • Statutory reporting, VAT returns, year end audit
  • Bank reconciliations, cash flow forecast
  • Budgeting, forecasting, monitor and review overheads and expenditure
  • Manage purchase and sales ledger processing and team
  • Lead projects, continuous improvement of processe
The ideal applicant, will be:
  • Seeking to work in Liverpool on a permanent basis
  • Familiar to working in an SME environment and taking on responsibility, making decisions
  • A proven, professional accountant who is self-motivated and hands-on
  • Capable of working well under pressure, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Possess strong communication, analytic and organisational skills
  • Stakeholder management, the ability to work with individuals across the business and liaise with external customers, suppliers, contacts
  • Knowledge of MS Excel
