Job Description

Are you passionate about early years education and nurturing young learners We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team within a Kensington Primary School.Your Role: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and educational support to children in their crucial early years. Working closely with the Nursery staff, you will help create a stimulatingand nurturing environment for young learners. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities to support childrens development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  2. Supporting children with personal care routines, fostering independence and self-help skills.
  3. Observing and assessing childrens progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing feedback to Nursery staff and parents.
  4. Facilitating play-based learning experiences that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  5. Collaborating with the Nursery team to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring the welfare and well-being of all children.
  6. Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering effective communication and a supportive atmosphere.
Your Qualifications and Skills: To excel in this role, you will need:
  1. A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field (CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent).
  2. Passion for working with young children and a solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
  3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
  4. Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to support childrens social and emotional well-being.
  5. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
