Job Description

Electrical Design Manager required. Our client is a well-established manufacturer of steel units and conversions, based in the Liverpool area. They are seeking an established Electrical Design Manager with demonstrable experience to work as part of the managementteam to support the overall achievement of business goals, within the company.Electrical Design Manager Position Overview

  • Work within a team of engineers overseeing all electrical works, including design using Auto CAD.
  • Complete electrical projects by supervising installations and resolving design issues.
  • Plan electrical projects by determining specifications, selecting contractors, establishing installation schedules, verifying code requirements, and producing/updating cost estimates to end users.
  • The role will be mainly office based, however will require to visit sites occasionally to fulfil tasks.
  • Possess a knowledge of IEE regulations, 18th Edition, all aspects of Electrical Installation + Testing & Inspection.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements.
  • Ensure all required data, records, forms etc. are recorded and submitted accurately and by the appropriate deadlines to the Production Manager.
Electrical Design Manager Position Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an electrical management position.
  • HNC or BEng in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience preferably with rail industry experience.
  • Project Management experience.
  • 18th edition qualification BS7671.
  • Inspection and test qualification (City and Guilds 2391-52).
  • Ability to manage site staff and sub-contractors.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office product / applications
  • Based within a commutable distance of Liverpool.
  • Full driving licence.
Electrical Design Manager Position Remuneration
  • Salary - £40,000 to £45,000 depending on skill, qualifications and experience.
  • Working Hours - 40 Hours, Hybrid Working WFH 1 days subject to workload & approval.
  • Holiday package - 25 Days + bank holidays.
  • Other additional benefits - Pension in line with current guidelines.
