Job Description

Location: LiverpoolSalary: Grade 4: £25,585 - £26,206 per annumContract type: Full time - 35 hours a week, permanentThe role is offered within a hybrid working environment with a blend of office and homeworking.We have a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge to join the Royal College of Physicians (RCPs) regional services team as a deputy regional services manager. The central regional services team works to support the marketing and eventdelivery of face-to-face conferences and events as well as virtual webinars and conferences for RCP members and fellows.In addition, the regional services team will lead on the administration surrounding management of the job description process across regions. Find out more in the job description.The role is based in our new northern headquarters, The Spine, Liverpool.Were looking for candidates with:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate with multiple stakeholders maximising the opportunities to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Experience of working in the delivery of conferences/events within a membership organisation/associate or a health-related industry
  • Experience of working in a busy environment with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organisational skills, problem-solving ability, and an exceptional eye for detail.
About the roleAs the deputy regional services manager, you will make an impact every day by:
  • Developing, planning, and organising conferences and events - both face to face and virtual.
  • Excelling at communicating with a range of individuals and developing good working relationships.
  • Working alongside the regional services team manager to understand the budgeting for individual events including the management of venue and audio-visual contracts and raising purchase orders and reviewing invoices.
  • Managing the administrative aspects of the role to an exceptionally high standard.
About usThe regional services team work within the RCP regions team to provide administrative and operational support to the day-to-day management and development of regional activities and initiatives such as conferences and events. This includes facilitating thejob description approval process across trusts, supporting the regional network and assisting with the regional event programme - running both virtual and face to face events.
