Job Description

Cost DraftsmanSalary up to £40k plus extensive benefitsLocation: Liverpool agile workingWe have an exciting new role for an experienced Cost Draftsman to join one of the UKs leading PI Law firms.Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting bills of costs (Electronic & Paper)
  • Preparing Precedent H Budgets
  • Dealing with Part 8s
  • Dealing with Fixed Costs Disputes
  • Taking files to Provisional/Detailed Assessment
  • Preparing Points of Dispute/Replies
  • Drafting Estimates of Costs
  • Preparing N260 Costs Schedules
  • Attending hearings including Detailed Assessments and CCMC
  • Provide costs advice/guidance to fee earners when required
  • Complete post Assessment work
Experience:
  • 2 years experience as a Cost Draftsman
  • Excellent knowledge of CPR Case law
  • Experience of preparing New Electronic Bills
  • Track record of dealing with high value Multi-Track cases
  • Ability to deal with third party solicitors and insurers
  • Experience with working within a team environment
  • Ability to prioritise workloads
  • Good knowledge of IT working with Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Commercially aware
