Air Quality ConsultantLiverpool / Ellesmere PortSalary - £50kRole LocationThe role is full-time and based in Liverpool with travel required across the UK for specific project opportunities.The CompanyOur Client is an independent family business. With over 40 years in the field they operate throughout the UK with a team of fully qualified acoustic and air quality consultants dealing across the board with clients that include blue-chip manufacturers, theNHS, Universities, major developers, as well as the general public.The RoleTo support their continued growth, they are seeking to recruit an Air Quality Consultant or Senior Air Quality Consultant based in the North West.The successful candidate will support a wide range of on-going projects across sectors including housing, transport, energy, government. You will have a client-facing role with responsibility in terms of managing project teams and project delivery. You willlead and contribute to the development of proposals for new work and for large and complex public and private sector tenders.You will be involved in overseeing and delivering stand-alone air quality assessments for new developments, preparing chapters for Environmental Statements including those that form part of Development Consent Order (DCO) applications and undertaking leadingedge research projects.You will require detailed practical experience of atmospheric dispersion modelling, particularly for transport and industry. In addition, you should have a good understanding of ambient air quality monitoring methods for both particulate and gaseous species,and experience reviewing and critically evaluating ambient monitoring results. With this experience you will work with our senior team of experts to train and mentor junior staff and help them develop their knowledge and experience in the sector.You will be involved at the heart of the team and will play a key role in the delivery of our work. You will work in a friendly, supportive environment and will be given one to one support, mentoring, learning and development via experienced colleagues.External training will be provided where required.Skills and experience we are looking forEssential
