The company currently has an accounts team of 3, one of the team is due to retire, and will be replaced by 2 new people to cover the leavers roleand assist others on the team.The company is successful & growing. All staff are long serving, staying with the company for many years, many staff have been there for over 10 years, some over 20, some even over 40 years with the same company.Experience of working in construction and/or knowledge of CIS returns & CIS Subcontractors Certificates is highly desirable in this role.Salary & Benefits for Accounts Payable£35,000 - £40,000Holidays: 20 days + bank holidays, birthday off and 2 weeks close down over the Christmas breakThe Accounts Payable person/requirements* Proven experience as an Accounts Payable/Clerk* The ability to input data, produce reports in an accurate and concise manner* The ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively at all levels, both verbally and In writingin a clear and concise way* Computer literate* Detail orientated methodical thinker* Efficient self-motivator* Comprehensive knowledge of accounting packages/software, experience using SAGE (desirable)* Knowledge of CIS returns & CIS Subcontractors Certificates is highly* Experience of working in construction (desirable)The Accounts Payable responsibilities * Manage bank accounts, emails , post and subsistence payments on a daily basis* Enter material and suppliers Invoices then scan Into files on computer* Check all material and suppliers statements and reconcile then scan into files on computer* Suppliers cheques / deal with Invoice queries* Monthly wages and dividends* CIS returns & CIS Subcontractors Certificates* PAYE returns* VAT returns* Wage analysis* Assets and depreciation reports* Produce Monthly Profit/ Loss accounts and balance sheets* Bank reconciliations* Government statistics returns & CITB returns* Accounts reports (P11ds & A/Cs summaries)* Fuel card queries and Penalty fines* Answer phones when required
