Job Description

With our technology, we are committed to provide the highest level of service to our clients.Lumi require a committed and conscientious Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join their Research & Development Team. Here you will be involved in the testing and delivery of both internally and externally developed applications.The software development is customer focused using SCRUM and Agile methodologies. As a member of the development team, you will become accustomed working towards multiple deadlines across simultaneous projects. Within this role you will have to work closely with both product managers and developers, as well as on your own.A minimum of 1-year prior experience in relation to software testing is desirable. In addition to experience, hard-working and methodical work ethic is of equal importance. We are looking for someone who will quickly adapt to our current testing procedures, as well as be able to suggest and implement improvements.The ideal candidate will be familiar with Microsoft Operating Systems, Office and 365. A basic understanding of Windows Networking & Security is also desirable. Additionally, the candidate needs to be familiar with web and mobile applications (primarily iOS and Android).All candidates must have GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above, further or higher education qualifications in an IT related subject from a recognised institution, have no work restrictions and be able to commute when required to the Lumi Holdings Ltd UK Headquarters in Liphook, Hampshire.Key Duties:Reporting into the QA Manager, this role is responsible for:

  • Creation of suites of test cases from functional specifications and requirement documentation.
  • Writing and executing test plans.
  • Manual testing with adherence to the test scripts and observant analysis of the results.
  • Testing in a multiple platform environment.
  • Producing detailed, accurate and timely reporting of test results.
  • Logging issues and bugs in a consistent format with clear, reproducible steps and expected outcomes.
  • Performing ad hoc testing and error investigations to meet the needs of the business.
  • Conducting stress and scalability testing of hardware and software applications.
  • Desirable Experience:
