This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the education and well-being of students with autism.Position Overview: Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism within the secondary school setting. This position requires a candidate with a passion for working with SEND learners. The successful candidatewill join a collaborative team, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with autism.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement and adapt learning strategies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment for students with autism.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to both students and teachers.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience working with young people in SEND is desirable but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
