Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Trainee Assistant Accountant to join a reputable organisation with headquarters based in Lichfield. Reporting to the Finance Manager the Trainee Assistant Accountant will gain full training, with a succession plan in place tobecome a Management Accountant! Salary up to £23,000 per annum + AAT study support.This role would suit a recent school leaver, or someone who has started studying their AAT!Your Role: As an Trainee Assistant Accountant, youll be an integral part of the finance department, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to the financial success of the organisation. Youll have access to a structureddevelopment plan designed to accelerate your growth in the field of finance within a fast paced working environment.Key Responsibilities of a Trainee Assistant Accountant:

  • Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Analyse financial data and trends to support decision-making processes.
  • Participate in the development of financial strategies to optimise operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial information.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate accounting records.
  • Learn and utilise financial software systems to manage data efficiently.
  • Adhoc responsibilities including credit control, posting invoices etc.
Skillset required:
  • Strong analytic and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude.
