Job Description

At AX, we are looking for a Senior Developer to join the Innovation side of our business where we develop and deployIntelligent Software and Devices for Vehicle Management - a highly progressive part of our business operations. Focused on digital developmentto meet the needs of our partners and customers, AX Innovation combines intelligent software, with in-car devices and human expertise to help you Manage, Connect and Protect your vehicles.Formerly DCM, ICC and part of APU, our service portfoliocombines the best diary booking system for fleet, demonstrator and courtesy cars with in-car cameras, telemetry and tracking devices, so you can manage every aspect of your vehicles.Role descriptionAs a Senior Developer you will help shape the UI and UX experience of both our colleagues and customers using the latest technology to deliver innovative and intuitive front ends that make using our products seamless.Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Deliver high quality testable code
  • Contributing to maintaining coding standards across the team and evangelising best practices
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to design and develop innovative solutions
  • Mentor junior developers
  • Maintain and support existing applications
  • Work within a fast paced agile environment
  • Invest in your knowledge portfolio to gain Microsoft certification in the latest web or Azure technologies to maintain our partner status. We are happy to give our developers time to study and to pay for the exams and training materials.
  • Proactively recommend improvements to existing software solutions
What you need to be a Senior Developerat AX:A thorough understanding of the full SDLC and a commitment to delivering easy to use and easy to integrate front end solutions for colleagues and customers alike.Experience with:
  • The .NET Framework and .Net Core using C#
  • Mentoring junior developers
  • Asynchronous Messaging infrastructure (desirable)
  • Application Integration using APIs
  • Cloud based platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS and their capabilities
  • JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Microsoft SQL Server/TSQL
