Job Description

Role: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: StaffordshireSchool: John Taylor Multi Academy TrustRate of pay: £78-84 per dayContract type: Full time, part time, adhocThe Supply register are delighted to be working in partnership with John Taylor Multi Academy Trust and we are currently recruiting for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work across their Primary Schools.What will the role consist of

  • Looking after childrens physical, social & emotional well-being
  • Keep records & attend review meetings if and when required
  • You will be required to use your innitiatve to adapt class work to suit student needs
  • Working alongside other members of staff to provide outstanding support to all student
  • Recognising signs of distress in children and offering reassurance.
  • Form positive relationships with children and support them with developing confidence in all areas
  • Working with children with different SEN requirements. This may be in small groups or on a 1-1 basis
Requirements:
  • Have experience working with in young people with SEN previously
  • Experience working with SEND students is desirable
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have high expectations of all pupils
  • Have high expectations of themselves and work collaboratively with other staff
  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding and commitment to Safeguarding
  • You must either have a DBS registered with the udpate service or be willing to process & pay for a new one - this is essential
