Job Description

Logistics Supervisor Position OverviewMy client are a manufacturer of automotive and are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to manage the internal flow of pieces, from receipt to shipping.The main responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Ensure customer delivery: feed and monitor the sequencer, supervise preparation and loading of finished products into trucks, track shipments, communicate all shipment failures, implement customer Misdeliveries per Million (MPM) follow up and contributeto its reduction.
  • Ensure adequate production lines supplies: assure the cleanness and tidiness of stocking areas, ensure feeding of production lines (small train), supervise the unloading of pieces and measure suppliers MPM and manage a warning system in picking zone.
  • Conduct the implementation of logistics basics: booking operations, traceability, labelling, container management, etc.
  • Monitor visual management system: deploy visual First In First Out (FIFO) and install physical alert systems.
  • Organise equipment and human resources.
  • Look for productivity gains.
  • Manage, train and coach logistics operators team.
  • During the pursuit of all duties of the Code of Ethics and the Code of Management will be adhered to at all times.
  • Resposible for 15-25 logistics operators
Logistics Supervisor Position Requirements
  • Experience in production control/ logistics environment
  • Experience working with management systems
  • Experience managing a team of logistics operators
  • Live within a commutable distance to Litchfield
  • Happy to work shifts
Logistics Supervisor Position Remuneration
  • Salary of £32,000- £35,000 + shift allowance
  • 2 shift pattern, moving to 3 shift shortly
  • Shift allowance of 15% days and 30% nights
Current shift patternAM
  • Monday to Thursday: 05:55-14:00
  • Friday: 05:55-13:00
PM
  • Monday to Thursday: 14:00-22:00
  • Friday: 12:55- 20:00
