Job Description

JOB TITLE: IT Sales Account ManagerSALARY: £25,000 - £35,000 + Uncapped CommissionBENEFITS: 28 days holiday (increasing with length of service), company pension scheme, uncapped commission, monthly and quarterly sales incentives, frequent team building activities (meals out, team lunches, escape rooms, weekend getaways!)LOCATION: Hybrid/LichfieldOur client is looking for an IT Sales Account Manager to help drive new business and existing accounts to the next level. As a young and hungry VAR, they cover all aspects of IT from procurement, software, licensing, hardware – covering all bases of theIT ecosphere.JOB SPECIFICATION: IT Sales Account ManagerThe IT Sales Account Manager will ideally have experience with new business and account management with knowledge of the IT Channel and key vendor accounts, with the likes of HP, VMWare, Microsoft etc… This will enable you to achieve monthly profit targetsthrough both internal and external sales methods. You will be responsible for:

  • Proactive new business activity, building an account base.
  • Daily identification, nurturing and closing of new sales opportunities within your account base.
  • Constantly build a sustainable pipeline of both run-rate business and larger, ‘bid sized’ opportunities through account management and relationship building.
  • Effective management of your sales pipeline to plan daily, weekly and monthly sales activities.
  • Daily updating of CRM to maintain accurate opportunity forecasts.
  • Regularly review/analyse accounts to understand growth opportunities for new lines of business.
  • Daily quote production and order entry.
  • Achievement of vendor training and certifications to aid with product knowledge and experience.
REQUIREMENTS: IT Sales Account ManagerThe ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a sales or account management position. Direct experience with another IT Reseller would be advantageous:
  • A proven track record in sales performance and business development & achieving KPIs regularly.
  • New business sales – cold calling/other new business activities and lead generation.
  • A solid understanding of current technology and the IT requirements of corporate businesses
  • Salary and uncapped commission packages are negotiable, depending on experience.
