Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a high-calibre individual with Mathematical Sciences, Statistics or Physics background to join a team of highly experienced analysts responsible for the design and development, mathematical modelling and algorithm developmenton a variety of complex decision science / optimisation projects.Along with the afore mentioned academics the successful applicant will have a passion for analysing and modelling complex data to drive a business output, gained from industry experience (12 months +) primarily using Excel/VBA (R, Python, SPSS, SAS - advantageous)- whilst having the ability to extract & manipulate data from various sources. This will be combined a by a natural flare for mainstream mathematical modelling; applying methodology to drive customer & product based decision making.The working environment encourages applicants to challenge the status quo and welcomes creativity around problem solving and solution design. The role offers a diverse range of project work and will give the chance to work in new domains, learn new skillsand get great job satisfaction.About You:This is a challenging role that requires technical understanding and a analytical approach. You should have:

  • BSc (2.1 or above)Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or Economics
  • Confidence in working with large volumes of complex data
  • Passion for Mathematical & Statistical Modelling
  • Good problem solving skills
  • The ability to assimilate new applications / technologies quickly and efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills
Commercial Experience in one or more of the following gained from a role in commercial analytics;
  • Design, analysis and mathematical modelling, statistical of dynamic systems; at least 1 from -VBA, SAS, SPSS, SQL, R or Python
  • Mathematical & statistical analysis (i.e. applied statistics/multivariate analysis/Bayesian)
  • Predictive or General Linear modelling knowledge
  • Experience or exposure to digital analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
