Job Description

Would you like to take on a Packaging Repro Artworker role that allows you to use your keen attention to detail and excellent technical skills to prepare artwork for print Are you an experienced Packaging Repro Artworker who is an expert in Adobe CS and thrives in a busy, fast-paced environmentIf you are:

    • Then wed love to speak to you about being our new Packaging Repro Artworker!Were currently looking for an experienced Packaging Repro Artworker to join our Origination team and help us in the next phase of our growth journey. Were open to all backgrounds and industries for this role as long as you are proficient in the use of Adobe CS and have previous experience of preparing artwork for print.In your new role, youll have the support of the rest of the Pre-Press/CAD and Origination department and wider management team while you find your feet and develop in the position.We work with a wide variety of brands, many of which are household names, and so creating the best quality artwork for our packaging is absolutely key to our success. Our teams are focussed and committed to producing top quality products and satisfying customer demand on time every time. Youll be a valuable addition to our highly skilled team, and we look forward to you bringing your own technical skills and abilities to help us be even better.There is a vast amount of experience in the industry throughout all teams across the business and they will support you as you get to grips with your new role.Main Responsibilities:
  • Checking, amending & preparing artwork files for print, occasional artwork creation and the production of press-ready PDFs
  • Preparing files for foil blocking and spot UV plates
  • Liaising closely with in-house CAD team working with cutter profiles and CFF2 die files
  • Using Kodak Prinergy Workflow and Pandora Step & Repeat software
  • Outputting certified proofs through Kodak proofing system for CMYK colour matching on presses
  • Plate set-up and output in line with print requirements
    • Artwork | Repro | Packaging | Adobe CS | Mac Operator | Print | Illustrator | Pre-press | Photoshop | Technical| Kodak | Prinergy | Pandora | Step & Repeat | CAD | FTC Benefits 26 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays / Flexible working hours / Pension Scheme / Death in Service / Life Assurance Scheme (3 x salary) / Growing company / Supportive Management Team Additional Information Salary and hours are negotiable for the right candidate. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract & full-time role (37.5 hours per week) with potential to extend.Essential Skills
  • Proficient in Mac-based Adobe-Creative Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop/In-Design)
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to problem solve
  • Full understanding of Print Repro
    • Applicants without Adobe CS skills will not be considered.Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of the packaging industry
  • Knowledge of Step and Repeat software (preferably Pandora)
  • Clear communicator with good time management and organisational skills
