Job Description

Job Advertisement: Nursery AssistantWe are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Nursery Assistants at our well-established and thriving nursery in Preston. We have both part-time and full-time positions available, offering flexible working hours to suit your schedule.This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young children in a nurturing and stimulating environment.Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the day-to-day care and supervision of children aged 0-5 years.
  • Engaging children in educational and play activities that promote their social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Creating a safe and supportive environment for children, ensuring their well-being at all times.
  • Collaborating with the nursery team to plan and implement age-appropriate activities and programs.
  • Providing regular feedback to parents and guardians regarding their childs progress and achievements.
  • Assisting with meal and snack times, ensuring children receive nutritious and balanced meals.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the nursery.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and early years education.
  • A caring and patient nature, with the ability to handle the challenges of working with young children.
  • A relevant childcare qualification is desirable but not essential.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate of £8-£12 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience.
