Job Description

Multi-Skilled TechnicianAn exciting position has become available for a full -time Multi-Skilled Technician based at the companys Leyland headquarters; PR25 4GU.The successful candidate will earn up to £15.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.The right candidate will be adaptable, able to turn their hand to many different aspects varying from straight-forward domestic heating oil tanks up to large-scale generator fuel systems. Thorough training will be given to the right individual who demonstratesthe core skills, has the right work ethic and a willingness to learn. Working away will be required. This is a broad role that will suit somebody who enjoys variety.Role Requirements

  • Mechanically minded and technically competent working with electro-mechanical systems
  • CSCS card essential
  • SSSTS/SMSTS an advantage
  • A willingness to learn is essential
  • Must be happy to carry out manual work such as flagging & concreting occasionally
  • Electrical qualifications such as 18th edition are an advantage
  • Prior knowledge of oil regulations such as OFTEC, PPG2, DSEAR etc. is an advantage
  • Self-starting and able to work independently most of the time
Role Responsibilities
  • Inspections and surveys of diesel tanks and supply lines for regulatory compliance
  • Servicing of dispensing pumps, replacement of components such as delivery hoses
  • Installation work which may include an element of civils/groundwork as required
  • Transferring fuel to/from temporary containers
  • Installation of electricals such as gauges, tank alarms etc
  • Work is nationwide, so nights out will be required
