Job Description

Maintenance EngineerAn exciting position has become available for a full-time Maintenance Engineer based in Leyland; PR25.The successful candidate will earn an hourly rate of up to £15 per hour subject to passing OFTEC 600a qualification; which is a one day course.The right candidate will be adaptable, able to turn their hand to many different aspects varying from straight-forward domestic heating oil tanks to large commercial fuel systems. This is a broad role that will suit somebody who enjoys variety.Role Requirements

  • Mechanically minded and technically competent working with electro-mechanical systems
  • A willingness to learn is essential
  • Must be happy to carry out manual work such as flagging & concreting occasionally
  • Electrical qualifications such as 18th edition are an advantage
  • Prior knowledge of oil regulations such as OFTEC, PPG2, DSEAR etc. is an advantage
  • Self-starting and able to work independently most of the time
  • The ideal candidate will be a multi-skilled, technically minded individual
Role Responsibilities
  • Inspections & surveys of diesel tanks and supply lines for regulatory compliance
  • Servicing of dispensing pumps, replacement of components such as delivery hoses
  • Installation work which may include an element of civils/groundwork as required
  • Transferring fuel to/from temporary containers
  • Installation of electricals such as gauges, tank alarms etc
  • Work is nationwide, so nights out will be required
