SJC Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with an excellent businesses based in Leyland who are looking for a HR Officer on a permanent basis.The need has become available due to exciting growth plans and investment.As the successful candidate your expected responsibilities would include:* First point of contact for all line managers and employees concerning HR queries* Support the business and colleagues in areas such as maternity/paternity, retirement, absences, disciplinaries and other HR topics.* Liaise with a 3rd party HR consultancy to ensure legal and procedural requirements are actioned as required.* Manage pre-employment screening including the onboarding of new employees. * Provide support for employees including employee letters, handling processes for movers, leavers and joiners. * Maintain strict confidentiality with HR related information and accuracy in filing.* Manage the annual screening of existing employees.* Lead and support a range of ad hoc initiatives & projects* Assist in developing a positive company culture in line with company values.* Keep up to date with employment legislation.* Involvement in the recruitment process such as advertising and interviewing.* Collaborate with the finance team regarding monthly & weekly payrolls.The hours of the role are Monday - Thursday 8.00 - 16.30 and 8.00 - 15.30 Friday.Benefits of the role include:* 25 days holiday & bank holidays* 3% Employers pension contribution* Life insurance policy* Flexible working approach* Free parking
