Job Description

Job title: Governance OfficerLocation: PR25Contract Type: Temp (6 months)Work Pattern: Monday - FridayAs a Governance Manager reporting to the senior management team, youll play a crucial role in upholding the highest standards of governance within the Group. Your responsibilities will include overseeing governance administration throughout the organisation,enabling non-executive directors and trustees to effectively carry out their roles.Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and providing administrative assistance to the boards and pertinent committees within the Group.
  • Required to participate in meetings within the governance framework and compile precise minutes.
  • Providing support to non-executive directors and trustees in carrying out their responsibilities.
  • Ensuring that important decisions and pertinent information from meetings are communicated effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Governance and Deputy Company Secretary to create annual work plans for the boards.
  • Partner with the Board and the Head of Governance and Deputy Company Secretary to advance the Governance agenda. This includes conducting research, reviewing, and supporting the development of Company Secretarial/Governance related policies, procedures,and induction packs, while also monitoring and ensuring their implementation.
  • Maintain the Groups list of policies, strategies, and procedures and ensure that all required reviews are conducted promptly. Serve as the initial point of contact for colleague inquiries regarding policies, strategies, and procedures and escalate as necessary.
  • Maintain precise records of all induction, training, and development activities for boards, committees, individual non-executive directors, and trustees. This information will facilitate accurate updates to Personal Development Plans.
  • Offer administrative assistance to non-executive directors and trustees, including the booking of courses and events, and coordinating travel and accommodation arrangements when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to write minutes at Board Level
  • Microsoft Proficiency
  • Adobe Acrobat pro experience preferable
