Job Description

Adecco Recruitment are currently recruiting for on behalf of our client, a Shift Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to work for a successful and growing business based in Leyland.Full Time/Permanent Salary: £37,293 pa with a pay rise pending, with plenty of voluntary overtime available (Earn up to £50K inc OT and DT)Shift Rota: 12 hr shifts, 6am - 6pm days x2 then 6pm - 6am nights X2, then four off, repeat 7 times and then 18 days off in a block.Overtime: usual, time and one half midweek and Sat, double time Sunday and Bank Holidays,Benefits: pension scheme, sick pay, free car parking, free tea, coffee etc.Training is always available and there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved with projects as well as day to day electrical maintenance.JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Electrical Engineer/Shift EIC TechnicianREPORTING TO: EIC EngineerLOCATIONS: Thornton / LeylandJOB SUMMARY: The EIC Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of the waste treatment facility assets and associated infrastructure, including operational monitoring of functional odour abatement systems and the SCADA system.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Key responsibilities shall include:

  • Work in accordance with the company Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality policy and procedures.
  • Attend business meetings and safe start as scheduled.
  • Planned maintenance works in accordance with the detailed works packs, and adherence to defined schedules.
  • Carryout odour abatement system plant monitoring, recording, sampling and adjustments in line with operational parameters.
  • Planned preventative maintenance of all operational odour abatement systems, electrical, instrumentation and control systems within the waste treatment facility.
  • Reactive response to equipment and process system faults and breakdowns.
  • Effective utilisation of the company business systems (Mainsaver, SCADA, Sharepoint).
  • Provide basic control room and weekend weighbridge duties as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communications and feedback through detailed handovers and written shift log books.
  • Administration of the company safe systems of work (PTW & LOTO procedures).
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping standards within all work related areas.
  • Coordination of sub-contractor activities as required.
  • Provide maintenance and operational support cover on a 24 / 7 basis through the 5 shift system.
