Job Description

An industry leading client of mine are seeking an experienced cyber security engineer to come and join their growing organisation. You will play a pivotal role in driving the technical lifestyle relevant to key and relevant infrastructure and technologies,along with providing support to level three engineers. This role reports directly into the Cyber security manager.Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a subject matter expert in the defining, designing and implementing each of the Cyber Security technologies and services, meeting business requirements and cooperating with policies and standards, ensuring the continuous delivery and improvementprocess is in good shape.
  • Supporting the investigation of security incidents and any policies not complied with.
  • Keeping up to date with any new threats, risks and exploits.
  • Assessing new developments efficiently, as well as coordinating all tactical measures throughout cyber.
  • Author monthly reports, including an assessment of the current situation as well as areas that are a work in progress.
  • Evaluating new products or vendors to suit the upcoming needs of the business.
Requirements:
  • At least five years of relevant experience (i.e. infrastructure, software information systems, audit, compliance, risk management) to develop in both cyber security and defence.
  • Have hands on knowledge within key areas of IT audit and information security management systems (platform security), including on various anti–virus products, email security gateway and encryption, two–factor authentication and on privilege access managementsolutions.
  • Good knowledge of network security, including within various firewall products, VPN technologies, along with forward proxy solutions.
  • Experience working within an identity service engine.
  • TCP/IP networking experience for troubleshooting and diagnosing common technology or application problems.
  • Good communications experience to collaborate both with local and offshore team members.
  • Experience with following ITIL processes for incident, problem and change management.
  • Network analysis tools experience, such as Splunk, Netwitness and Wireshark.
  • Experience with system analysis processes, such as forensic tools and endpoint security.
  • Windows Management experience, such as WSUS, SCCM, SCOM, Active Directory and Group Policy objectives.
  • Routing, switching and data centre design experience.
