No experience necessary.This is a great opportunity for a woman who can nurture, care and support elderly adults with autism or a learning difficulty. Excellent on the job training provided alongside a committed andconscientiousteam in the Levunshulme area of South Manchester.The position is with a leading care organisation supporting people with a Learning Disability and Autism. A role where you care by enabling, others. It is important that you are also open to providing a high level of personal care to people that can include intimate personal care in a way that respects the persons dignity.Some key requirements we do need are-1. You have a desire to work with people in a paid caring role to improve peoples life.2. Have a full UK manual driving license.3. Be accepting of difference and able to cope with people who struggle to communicate and may rely on behaviours that are mentally challenging to you.4. Are hard working and able to do long shifts.5.You are able to provide a high level of personal care in a way that respects the persons dignityIn this role you may be helping someone manage the simple tasks of the day, making breakfast, shopping, medicating and generally helping the person access their community whilst at the same time helping a person manage their anxiety. Your day will also involve taking the person on structured day activities such as long walks in the park and canal boat rides. The majority of the people in this service require wheelchairs, so you will need the physical endurnce to help them on them on these activities as well as with their normal day to day routine.Full training, mentoring and coaching provided in a quality care environment rated Outstanding by the CQC.Clothing allowance, pension, generous sleep payments and great working environment make this a great opportunity to work in care with people with autism and associated developmental difference.
