Job Description

Aliaxis is an international company operating throughout the world within the plastic manufacturing industry. Based at our Lenham, Kent site but with some requirement to work from home, we now require a Part Time Accountant to join the team providing financial services to a number of the UK businesses.Reporting to the UK Accounting & Tax Manager, the position is being offered on a Part Time basis working 3 days/20-22 hours per week with timings to be agreed.The position...The responsibilities are shared out between the team depending on skills and availability, they specifically include:

  • Head office accounting, including purchase and sales ledger, and reporting to Group
  • Treasury for the UK business, including hedging and daily cash management
  • Due diligence & checking on trading partners for all UK businesses
    • The team also provides the following support with work delegated based on skill/experience:
  • Company secretarial for all UK businesses
  • Tax, mainly Corporation tax and VAT for all UK businesses
  • Statutory accounts all UK businesses
  • Legal - first contact for UK businesses.
  • Insurance renewals and claim control
  • DB & DC Pensions accounting
  • Risk register
  • Co-ordinating tax strategy and modern slavery act reporting
  • Supplier payment reporting
  • Internal audit
  • Possible acquisition / disposal of businesses
    • The person...Ideally the role holder will be a qualified accountant however part-qualified with experience will also be considered. The individual needs to have a strong leaning towards technical accounting and be flexible and adaptable in their approach to their work.
