Job Description

We are currently working with a successful and innovative manufacturing company based in Lenham, Nr Maidstone and assisting them in the hire for a brand new Buyer!Recruiting for a Buyer, the successful candidate shall place orders competitively, on time and on an approved supplier base.Main duties:

  • To progress outstanding orders
  • To ensure data entry onto the company stock control software is carried out promptly and accurately
  • To convert orders received into buying reports
  • To ensure the Manufacturing data base is maintained
  • To record client orders into department
  • To check and approve all purchase orders in accordance with signing limits
  • To evaluate stock discrepancies
  • To run relevant buying action reports
  • To place stock orders against clients received orders
  • To place non-stock orders against correctly authorised Purchase Requisitions
  • To issue supplier schedules as required
The successful candidate:
  • Proven purchasing experience
  • CIPS qualification - desirable
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills
  • Team Player
  • Good Telephone manner
This is a full-time and permanent role offering £35,000 - £38,000 per annum.This role is office based.Diamond Search Recruitment is acting as an Employment Agency in regard to this vacancy.
