MID CHESHIRE HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUSTLEIGHTON HOSPITALLocum Consultant in Medical Microbiology(6 Months Fixed Term Contract)Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant in Medical Microbiology at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will join a team of 2 Consultants based at Leighton Hospital in Crewe. This post is a replacement post based at Macclesfield District General Hospital, Macclesfield within Pathology Services. The appointment is for a locum for 6 months, whole time/ part time position pending substantive recruitment to this role. The post is nominally offered as 10 Programmed Activities on the new Consultant Contract but this is negotiable. The applicant should possess FRCPath, or show evidence of equivalent training or experience.The pathology services for ECT and MCHFT have combined under a single management administered through MCHFT. The Pathology Services for MCHFT and ECT have combined under a single management structure, administered through MCHFT.The University Hospital of North Midlands, Mid Cheshire and East Cheshire NHS Trusts are working collaboratively to form a Pathology network in line with a NHSI directive.The laboratory is UKAS accredited and provides a comprehensive range of Bacteriology, Serology, Mycology and molecular testing for Chlamydia.
