MID CHESHIRE HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUSTLEIGHTON HOSPITALLED ST1/ST2 in Rehabilitation MedicineApplications are invited for a Locally Employed Doctor (LED) ST1/ST2 to work on Ward 21b at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust until the end of August 2021. Working under the guidance of the GP lead the successful candidate will be based at Leighton Hospital in Crewe. This post is a replacement post within the Division of Diagnostics and Clinical Support Services.Ward 21b is a rehabilitation ward for medically optimised patients. The ward accepts a range of patients following completion of the acute phase of their inpatient stay on medical and surgical wards. The purpose of the ward is to support our patients to maximise their potential through assessment, treatment and care which is patient centred and goal orientated. The ward is GP led, with weekly consultant multi-disciplinary team reviews.Ward 21b has an exceptional team of multidisciplinary staff who work together to facilitate the safe and timely admission, rehabilitation and discharge of patients. The main duties will be to follow the management plans written in the medical records from the Consultant ward round, daily review of the patients on the ward and undertake any routine tasks as requested by the senior team. In addition, completion of accurate discharge summaries will be required to inform primary care colleagues of the outcome of their patient’s inpatient stay.The Diagnostics and Clinical Support Service division hosts a range of services including Pharmacy, Medical Records and Medical Imaging.
