The university is a vibrant, multicultural hub of learning, creativity and innovation that never surrenders to convention.Faculty / Directorate DMUsport has developed greatly in the short time since its inception in 2016 and is now looking to further enhance our student sport club programme, that currently consists of 35 sports clubs ranging from American Football and Archery to Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball.As part of the Directorate for Social Impact and Engagement, we are looking to increase the level of support as part of our club programme to meet DMU’s strategic aims of increasing participation in sport among students and assist with facilitating DMU’s success in offering sporting opportunities across the pathway. We are a dynamic and committed department within a University where opportunities to meaningfully contribute across the student experience are many and varied.Role The Sports Development Coordinator will join our team with the purpose of providing support to student club committees and providing an outstanding student experience for all club members, through the co-ordination and administration of both new and developing tools and systems to provide a high quality, positive student experience for a widely diverse student demographic.Ideal CandidateTo be successful, you will be passionate about providing a high quality experience to students through sport and physical activity, with experience of sport club development programmes and communicating to a range of stakeholders to support and empower student club committee members.A creative team player, who can adapt and engage with a range of audiences, from regularly engaged students to senior members of staff, you will have the opportunity to develop professionally and demonstrate direct impact on the student experience.Due to the current situation, interview arrangements will be confirmed at a later date, with flexibility as far as possible.For full details of this post, please click on to the job description/ person specification button.
