Job Description

Commercial Finance AnalystLocation: LeicestershireContract Details: PermanentIndustry sector: RetailSalary: £33,000 - £42,000 per year + benefitsAbout Our Client:Our client is a leading retail company with a strong presence in the market.   • Analyse large volume of financial data and provide insights to support business decisions within the Retail sector
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets
  • Support the buying team to understand financial performance & opportunities
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and potential areas of improvement
  • Provide recommendations for cost reduction and profit optimisation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business performance
  • Assist in the preparation of financial models and business cases
  • Support senior management in strategic planning and decision-making
  • Stay updated with industry trends and market developments
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
  • Experience in the retail industry
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and business intelligence tools
  • Part qualified in CIMA/ACCA
Technologies:
