Category Management - CAPEX - MRO - Supply chainMy client is a global manufacturer focused on Sustainability through Innovation and a Best-In-Class Procurement Function.Following a restructure in the business, my client is looking for a Senior Category Manager to lead the MRO Category with a definitive. This is a Strategic and senior role within the business reporting to the Board and no two days are the same as you will manage a plethora of stakeholders to ensure synergies between the commodities. The ideal person will have;*Procurement expertise with Category Management in a manufacturing environment purchasing equipment and services.*Experience of major Capital equipment purchases*Experience of major capital construction project tendering and legal frameworks*Experience of working as part of a major construction project team*Knowledge & experience of additional Direct & Indirect categories.*Drafting and negotiating contract terms and conditions especially goods, services & construction contracts.*Drafting and selling of category management strategies*Drafting and development of performance metrics (SLAs and KPIs).*Assisting end users in drafting and developing specifications, statements of work *Drafting tender documentation.*Management of the tender process.*Market & Supplier analysis.*Proven experience of developing and managing strong relationships with end-users, senior stakeholders and suppliers.*Gravitas to influence at all levels of management. *Interaction at Senior management level to ensure the category strategies influence and align with the business strategy.*Understanding of global purchasing experience of sourcing from countries such as China, India, eastern EuropeThe Successful Applicant* Must have experience in developing category plans and strategy;* A successful track record of embedding a strategic sourcing / category management methodology;* A track record in savings delivery within a Procurement organisation;* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management approach and skills;* Demonstrable experience of working with key business stakeholders at a senior level within the business;* Excellent negotiation skills and techniques;Preferable* Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment;Whats on Offer* £70-75k Salary* Car allowance* Bonus* Company benefitsBadenoch + Clark acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
