Job Description

Staffing Supply Manager - Working from homeSector: Healthcare Job Type: TemporaryDuration: Expected to last till end of April and maybe longer Location: Leicester Remote Working: This role is based working from home Band: 6Pay Rates: £16.00 to £19.38 paye per hour£17.93 to £21.72 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour£20.00 to £24.72 umbrella per hour All above are depending on skill, qualification and experienceStart: ASAPWorking days and hours: 30 Hours per week requiring cover are Mon to Fri – 8am to 8pm and Sat and Sun 8am to 2pm. Shift patterns etc. to be agreed/negotiated.Key Skills and Experiences

  • To provide day to day line management of staff within the Team, including 1 to 1s, appraisals, managing and planning annual leave, return to work interviews, acting as appointment panel member, ensuring that appropriate training is delivered to staff, reviewing work performance and progress against SLAs, work allocation and checking.
  • Undertake performance management of staff.
  • Provide a customer focused service to Divisions on the Temporary staffing supply across bank and agency and coverage of vacant duties.
  • Develop and negotiate a service level agreement with Divisional heads and manage expectations of service users.
  • Manage and motivate an effective team working to an agreed service level agreement and to hit targets set.
  • Main responsibility for liaison with Agencies to ensure best possible service and compliance to working time regulations and any customer service issues
  • Part of the Temporary Staffing solutions Management Team ensuring a coordinated approach to the temporary staffing solutions and supply.
  • Be involved in audits of training and working time regulations of temporary staffing. Taking action in conjunction with the HR Advisor or agency on compliance.
  • Implement and monitor the SLA with Departments/Wards
  • Project manage the introduction of further staffing groups/ professions being centralised..
  • Provide feedback on Temporary staffing reports and act on the results.
  • Overall Responsibility for Shift Fill and supply of temporary workforce
  • Adherence to agency working policy.
  • Responsible for setting up and running of Recruitment Assessment days to improve Temporary bank staff supply, in conjunction with Employee Resourcing Team.
  • Develop the creation of a “introduction to the Bank and Benefits of being a bank worker” booklet with HR Advisor.
  • Work with Clinical leads and Learning and Development on Care certificate and implications for bank staff supply.
  • Ongoing monitoring and compliance of agency contracts through regular contract meetings.
  • Ensure feedback and action on weekly set of reports provided by Reporting/Information Analyst to monitor progress, areas for improvement and costs.
  • Ensure through team bank staff are compliant with training ensuring and where not compliant the worker is does not work in conjunction with temporary staffing HR advisor
  • Develop and plan programmes and campaigns for bank staff groups and professions not currently supplied.
  • Regular update of department newsletter.
  • To ensure effective communication, team meetings and team working strategies are in place for team members to be kept abreast of new processes and that team work effectively takes place.
  • Attend bank staff panels for Employee Relations cases, disciplinary , allegations and complaints.
  • Expand and develop processes for the use of the Agency portal to Healthroster/Bank.
  • Provide proposals for solutions to technical and non-technical system issues.
  • Ensure records within the department are maintained and audited.
  • Ensure that the Call Centre is manned across 7 days in accordance with opening times by setting up and maintaining appropriate rotas and staff are up to date with skills and information.
  • Provide regular reports to Trust senior workforce groups on use of bank and agency.
  • Analyse temporary staff supply information provided and take action to target areas where use of bank and agency is high or long term where other strategies could be implemented.
  • Analyse and present Key performance information in relation to supply of workforce taking action as appropriate.
  • Liaise with external suppliers to ensure the trust is getting good value.
  • Conduct audit trails.
  • Report any issues to the Line Manager which have a financial impact on the roster/ward/department.
  • Ensure that planned activities for all rostering staff are completed.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the post and grade.
